Police have charged a man after he allegedly entered a chemist stating he had a bomb at Annerley last night.
It will be alleged at 9.30pm a man entered the Ipswich Road store stating he had a bomb in his bag and to call police.
Police attended and arrested the man in the carpark a short time later. The bag only had personal items in it and no bomb or other devices were located.
A 49-year-old Annerley man has been charged with one count of bomb hoax and will appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, February 25.

He likely to be sleeping in this car in public spaces and parkland at unknown locations between the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

Armed robberies, Mackenzie and Underwood
Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred overnight south of Brisbane that are belived to be linked.
The first robbery occurred at a service station in Mackenzie at 8.40pm.
Two men entered the service station on Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road and produced a knife and threatened the attendant.
The male attendant locked himself inside an office and the pair stole a quantity of cigarettes and tobacco before fleeing the scene on foot.
The second incident occurred at a service station on Logan Road at Underwood at 9.30pm when three men entered the business armed with knives.
They threatened the male attendant and stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene and getting into a vehicle.
No one was physically injured as a result of either robbery.
The three men are described as Pacific Islander in appearance and one was wearing dark clothing.

Boaties warned of extreme weather
Water Police are warning all boaties and swimmers to consider staying away from the surf as extreme weather conditions, whipped up by Tropical Cyclone Oma, sets-in across the southern Queensland coast.
Strong winds and large swell are predicted to increase to severe gale force winds and damaging swell by the weekend.
Water Police Senior Sergeant David Edden said people should avoid any type of boating and water activities near surf-exposed areas for at least the next five days.
“The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a hazardous surf warning for waters between Yeppoon and the Gold Coast with seas reaching extreme conditions over the coming days,” Senior Sergeant Edden said.
“We are expecting to see extremely dangerous conditions on the water and we are urging everyone to make smart decisions and stay safe.
“All boaties, fishers, surfers and swimmers should reconsider any plans which involve the surf over the coming days.

Update 5: Homicide, Karawatha
Detectives investigating the homicide of a 40-year-old woman at Karawatha earlier this month have released CCTV of two vehicles of interest as they continue to appeal for public assistance.
The woman’s body was found at a Wembley Road property just after 3am on February 9.
As part of ongoing inquiries detectives are reviewing all available CCTV footage as they work to identify vehicles seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Investigators today released CCTV capturing an orange sedan and a white dual cab utility towing a trailer travelling separately through the intersection of Wembley Road and Arshad Drive just after 3am.
Police are appealing for the drivers of the vehicles or anyone who may recognise the vehicles to come forward.

Hit and run, Tarragindi
At 4.30am a 53-year-old Tarragindi man was jogging along Strathfield Street when it is believed he was hit by a vehicle.
The man sustained critical injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra hospital where he is currently in an induced coma.
The man was shirtless and wearing navy blue running shorts and blue running shoes.
If anyone saw the man running in the vicinity of Strathfield Street early this morning, they are encouraged to call police.
Police are also seeking dash cam vision from members of the public who may have been in the area at the time.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Update 4: Death investigation, Karawatha
Detectives investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman at Karawatha on February 9 have identified a cyclist captured on footage in the area.
Police made an appeal for public assistance yesterday while releasing CCTV of the man riding a bicycle on Railway Parade.
Investigators have since spoken with the man and finalised the line of inquiry.
As part of the ongoing investigation detectives are continuing to review all available CCTV footage and attempting to identify any people or vehicles seen in the area.
Police continue to appeal to motorists who were travelling along Wembley Road between 2.45am and 3.20am on Saturday, February 9 to come forward.

Update: Wounding, Wynnum
Police have charged a 37-year-old woman with attempted murder after a teenage girl sustained multiple stab wounds at a Wynnum residence this morning.
Officers were called to a unit complex on Emsworth Street just before 5am following reports of a disturbance.
Police located a 17-year-old girl with a number of stab wounds to her face, neck and back.
She was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
The woman and girl are known to each other.
The woman will appear in Wynnum Magistrates Court tomorrow.
