Paul Ziebarth memorial community shield

The annual Paul Ziebarth memorial community shield was held at the Acacia Ridge Football Club yesterday, with a number of teams vying to claim the championship title.
The initiative was forged in the loving memory of the late Superintendent Paul Ziebarth, one of Queensland Police’s finest officers, who worked tirelessly towards achieving a united community for everyone and ensuring ongoing education for the youth of today.

A number of local schools with a large number of cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) students participated in the featured football match alongside the Queensland Police.
Participants all crossed, volleyed and striked their way throughout the friendly competition.
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) team took out the senior challenge whilst the Australian International Islamic College were the victors in the junior round.

The awards were presented to the captains of each team by Mrs Tina Ziebarth.
Mrs Ziebarth said she was honoured to be once again, involved in this initiative.
