A 46-year-old Underwood man has been charged for an alleged robbery offence in Kangaroo Point on Thursday, August 27.
Police allege the man had been communicating with another person who was selling an item online.
Police allege that the man met the seller where he snatched the item from them, as well as a mobile phone before running toward a parked vehicle.
The seller was able to call out for help and bystanders assisted to prevent the man from leaving prior to police arriving.
The 46-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of robbery.
The man is due to reappear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 21.
Investigations are continuing.
Police urge residents who use online platforms to sell or buy items to exercise caution.

Where possible, avoid meeting
