Police are investigating after two men armed with knives stole cash from an Inala bakery this morning.
The men entered the Biota Street business around 4.30am where they threatened four male employees – three men aged in their 40s and a 19-year-old man – before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash.
They are both described as Caucasian, aged around 20, approximately 170cms tall, and were wearing long sleeved track suits with material covering their faces.

Discharge of firearm, Stretton
Detectives are investigating after a firearm was discharged into a residence at Stretton this morning.
Around 4.15am three shots were fired into the Aldea Place address with two striking the garage door and one striking a parked vehicle.
Two people who were inside the premises at the time were not injured.
A motorcycle and a vehicle were heard driving off at speed after the incident.

Update 2: Escape lawful custody, Numinbah Valley
Police have charged a woman after she allegedly escaped from a correctional centre in Numinbah Valley on September 10.
It will be alleged around 11pm a head count was conducted by correctional officers and two women aged 21 and 24 were unaccounted for.
At 7.30am today a 24-year-old woman was located at a residence in Carindale and arrested by police.
She has been charged with two counts of fail to stop motor vehicle one count each of escape lawful custody and attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court this afternoon.
A 21-year-old Holland Park woman was located on September 18.
Attempted murder charges, Coopers Plains
Detectives have charged a woman with attempted murder following investigations into a unit fire at Coopers Plains on the weekend.
The 26-year-old woman had previously been charged with one count each of arson and endangering property by fire.
It is alleged she set fire to a unit in a complex on Comer Street around 3.50pm on Saturday.
The blaze caused extensive damage.
The woman appeared in the Holland Park Magistrates Court charged with four counts of attempted murder.
She was remanded in custody to reappear on October 26.

Happy dog catches ride home
Upper Mount Gravatt Police were able to return a stolen dog to its happy owners today but not before the super friendly pooch cuddled up with one of our officers for the drive home.
Update: Armed robbery charge, Calamvale
A man has been charged after a pizza delivery driver was robbed in Calamvale on Monday.
It will be alleged at 8.20pm, a 20-year-old man was delivering a pizza to an Alfred Street address when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.
The man allegedly demanded his takings, and left the scene with a quantity of cash and a pizza.
No-one was physically injured.
A 20-year-old Calamvale man has since been arrested and charged with armed robbery, possessing anything used in the commission of crime, contravene direction and failure to appear in accordance with undertaking.
He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court this morning (September 27).

Suspicious fire, Tingalpa
Police are investigating a suspicious fire which destroyed a clubhouse located at sporting fields in Tingalpa last night.
The building on Manly Road was fully engulfed by the time emergency services arrived just after 10.15pm.
Police closed Manly Road between New Cleveland Road and Castlerea Street for nearly two hours while fire crews worked to control the blaze.
A crime scene has been established and investigators will further examine the site this morning.

Fraud, Brisbane
Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist with a fraud mater on May 9.
Initial inquires indicate three unauthorised withdrawals were made from a bank account belonging to a New South Wales man.
A man claiming to be the owner of the account attended two banks in Newmarket and South Bank with what is believed to be fake ID to make three cash withdrawals.
Anyone who recognises the man or can be of any further assistance is urged to contact police.
Robbery, Sunnybank
Police are investigating the robbery of a woman which occurred in Sunnybank overnight.
At 9.40pm, a 23-year-old woman was walking along the footpath of McCullough Road when two males approached her from behind and grabbed her handbag.
She was knocked to the ground and her handbag was emptied with the pair stealing her purse.
The woman chased the pair on foot into an undercover carpark.
The two males were last seen heading in the direction of Zamia Street.
The woman was not physically injured.
The men are described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in their early 20’s.
Investigations are continuing.

At 8.20pm, a 20-year-old man was delivering a pizza to an Alfred Street address when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 20’s with a slim build, and was wearing a blue jumper.
