Acting Sergeant Michael Yau, Constables David Haigh, Warwick Steventon, Rich Waterson, and Sam Engel spent day one riding in busy traffic and made their way up Mount Gravatt to the lookout, before riding into Southbank for a well earned lunch. From there it was up Highgate Hill before returning to Upper Mount Gravatt Station that afternoon.
After a well deserved sleep, officers returned their tired, sore and reluctant bodies for a skills session on the mountain bike tracks in the Karawatha Forest. “Right now Operation Assurance investigators are focusing on high-risk offenders who have been stealing vehicles across south-east Queensland and then using those vehicles to commit burglaries and other serious crimes.
