Police have released vision and a photo as part of an appeal for public assistance as investigations continue into a series of armed robberies in the Brisbane region.
Detectives as part of Operation Quebec Point believe the man (pictured) may be able to assist with inquiries into the following armed robberies which are linked:
• At 11.30pm on November 27, two armed men entered the bar area of a Didsbury Street hotel in East Brisbane with a firearm and a machete. One man threatened two employees while the second man ushered three patrons inside from the smoking area and instructed them to lay on the floor. A patron struck one of the men over the head with a stool before the two fled the scene with a sum of cash.
• At 2am on December 4, two men armed with firearms entered an Orange Grove Road hotel in Salisbury and demanded money from

Neighbourhood Watch are holding a Dogs on Patrol event at Bill Cash Memorial Park, Cannon Hill on Sunday, March 25.

Become a Volunteer in Policing
Are you proud of the community in which you live and want to contribute to reducing crime and enhancing community safety?
If you answered yes, then being a ‘Volunteer in Policing’ (ViP) may be the role for you!
ViPs are community members who volunteer each week at local police stations, assisting police with the distribution of crime alert notices through letter box drops, providing crime prevention advice, conducting security audits, conducting presentations to community groups on behalf of police and liaising with businesses and victims of crime.
We are seeking volunteers who are interested in working in a team environment, helping their local community and can work from the Camp Hill area.

Sudden death, Oxley
Police are investigating the sudden death of a 65-year-old man in Oxley yesterday afternoon.
At around 4pm, the man’s body was located at an Ellen Street residence by a 38-year-old man who also resides at the dwelling.
The cause of death is yet to be determined and police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem.
There is no further information available at this time.

Update: Stealing with violence, Highgate Hill
Police investigating an alleged assault at a convenience store in Highgate Hill on February 9 have charged a man.
It will be alleged at 1:45pm a man entered the business on Gladstone Road and attempted to leave the store after hiding a drink in his pants.
Police will further allege when challenged by a staff member the man assaulted the staff member, striking him a number of times in the face before fleeing the store.
The male staff member was transported to the Mater Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
Investigators have charged a 25-year-old man with one count of robbery with violence.
He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 12.

Crime wrap, South Brisbane
Attempted robbery charges: Officers from Morningside have charged a 14-year-old Acacia Ridge girl and a 13-year-old girl from South Ripley with the attempted robbery of a 22-year-old woman in Cordelia Street, South Brisbane on February 6. Investigations are continuing.
Stealing offences: A 27-year-old Inala man has been charged with stealing offences from businesses along the Moorooka Magic Mile. He will appear at the Richlands Magistrates Court on March 5.

Fatal traffic crash, Upper Mount Gravatt
A 54-year-old man has died following a two vehicle crash at Upper Mount Gravatt this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate that around 2.30pm, a motorcycle and vehicle collided at the intersection of Dawson Road and Newnham Road.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man from Wishart, died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Discharge of firearm, Dunwich
A man has been charged following investigations into the discharge of a firearm into a house in Dunwich last night.
At 7.50pm, it will be alleged that police attended an East Coast Road residence where a firearm has been discharged once into dwelling.
A 27-year-old man was home at the time and suffered minor cuts and abrasions to his back.
A man was arrested a short time later in bushland near the residence.
A 45-year-old man is expected to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court this morning charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, unlawful discharge of a firearm in public, unlawful possession, wilful damage and production of a dangerous drug.
