New arrivals pay visit to Dutton Park Police Station

Officers from the South Brisbane Police District had the chance to meet a number of refugees earlier this week at the Dutton Park Police Station as part of the Lifeskills program coordinated by the Multicultural Development Association Ltd (MDA).

Acting Inspector Shane Bourke said the recent visit to the police station by a group of new residences of Australia, was very well received.
“The visit provided the station and the PLOs the opportunity to put a friendly face to policing in Queensland and allowed us to explain how to engage with police through various methods including Policelink, triple zero service, police stations and police officers on the streets,” Acting Inspector Bourke said.
