You can support White Ribbon by wearing a white ribbon or wristband – they show the world that you oppose men’s violence against women. They are also a great way to start the conversation with your friends, family and colleagues. Together we can encourage all men across Australia to take this oath and live by its values everyday.

On November 25 – the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women – a National Domestic Violence Order Scheme was introduced to increase protection for victims of domestic and family violence across Australian borders.
Over the past 18 months police, courts and justice agencies throughout Australia have been working collaboratively to operationalise this legalisation change which will see domestic violence order perpetrators held accountable for their actions nationwide.
As of November 25, any domestic violence order issued in any Australian state or territory will be automatically recognised and enforceable nationwide. Individuals no longer need to register a domestic violence order in another state or territory for it to be enforceable.
Commissioner Ian Stewart said the scheme is a significant milestone in protecting and empowering victims and their families from domestic violence.

Police have charged a man following an incident in which a vehicle allegedly evaded police and drove dangerously in Springfield overnight.
At 11:45pm before midnight officers observed a car with stolen number plates being driven along Beaudesert Road at Acacia Ridge.
Polair tracked the vehicle and allegedly observed it being driven at high speeds and running red lights.
Officers successfully deployed tyre deflation devices at the intersection of Springfield Greenbank Arterial and Grande Avenue at Springfield Lakes, deflating all four tyres.
The utility continued to drive through Springfield, onto the Centenary Highway and then the Logan Motorway, being followed by police crews.
The vehicle then exited off the Logan Motorway onto the Mount Lindsay Highway where it turned onto Browns Plains Road where officers brought the car to a stop and took the driver into custody at 12:20am.
