Closure of Operation Papa Apricot, South Brisbane District
Detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch have closed an ongoing operation today after four people have been charged with stealing over a million dollars worth of aviation parts.
Operation Papa Apricot began on May 8 after a shipping container was stolen from an address on Fairfield Road at Yeerongpilly.
Inside the container were a large amount of helicopter and aviation parts which are valued at one and a half million dollars.
Investigations conducted over the next four months lead detectives to two properties in Eagleby and Yeronga and as a result, two men were arrested and charged.
A majority of the stolen parts were recovered from the two properties and the shipping container was located at a property at Logan Village.
Police continued to investigate which lead to a woman being arrested and charged yesterday at a property in Edens Landing and a man was arrested at Yeronga.

Update 2: Robbery with violence, Sunnybank
Detectives investigating a violent robbery in Sunnybank on December 27 have charged another man.
A 17-year-old Moorooka man has been charged with two counts each of robbery and attempted robbery and one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault, unlawful entry of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and wilful damage.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Yesterday a 22-year-old Inala man was charged with similar offences and is also scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Investigations into the incident – during which a woman and man were allegedly seriously assaulted and had a car stolen from a car park off Mains Road around 3.45am – are continuing.
Police would still like to speak with the drivers of two delivery trucks that were in the area at the time, as well as anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or has seen the stolen

Armed robbery, Sunnybank
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a licensed premises in Sunnybank earlier this morning.
At 2.50am, two male entered the Mains Road hotel armed with a firearm and a machete-type implement and made demands for cash.
The pair left the business with a sum of money and was seen leaving in a white vehicle that exited onto Mains Road.
The hotel was open at the time, with a small number of patrons inside the business when the armed robbery occurred.
No-one was physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.

VISION & UPDATE: Robbery with violence, Sunnybank
Police have released video of a violent robbery in Sunnybank in the hope people may recognise a vehicle that was stolen during the incident.
Around 3.45am yesterday, five men approached two vehicles parked in a shopping centre off Mains Road.
Fearing for their safety, the four occupants of the vehicles gathered together into the Mitsubishi Magna as the group of men surrounded it.
A woman was dragged out of the vehicle and assaulted, and a window was smashed and a man repeatedly punched and kicked in the head.
CCTV footage shows the group withdrawing when two trucks enter the car park (at 3:42 and 3:43 respectively) and then return once they both pass.
It is likely that both drivers were completely unaware of the incident occurring.
One of the group took the keys to the other parked vehicle, a white 2012 Honda Civic with Queensland registration 312TOO, before stealing it.
