Fatal traffic incident, Sunnybank
The Forensic Crash Unit are continuing investigations into a traffic incident that occurred on January 26 in Sunnybank, which has resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman.
At around 6:10am, Friday January 26, the male driver of a vehicle travelling along Delafield Street has mounted the curb on the left-hand side of the road and subsequently hit a power pole.
Police have attended a short time later and observed the female passenger of the vehicle being treated by emergency services at the scene.
She was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The 22-year-old woman sadly passed away this evening due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigations are continuing.
