Robbery with violence, Coorparoo
Police have charged a man after he was allegedly found inside a house at Coorparoo yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged at 3.10pm a woman returned to her Rome Street residence and located a man inside the house. He pushed past the woman, who then yelled to a male relative for help.
The man then attempted to hit the woman with a glass bottle before running out the house. He began to ride away on a bicycle however was stopped by the male relative. A struggle ensured and with assistance from members of the public, the man was held until police arrived.
A 45-year-old Logan man has been charged with one count each of robbery with personal violence, enter dwelling, serious assault of a person over 60, burglary, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of implements for house breaking. He will appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, February 15.
