Joint agency site clean up, Toohey Forest
Today we conducted a joint agency bush exercise with the local council after a group of adventurers decide that Toohey Forest would be a great place to set up a camp site.
Appropriate notice was given to the group and today police from Holland Park assisted with the removal of rubbish and rain soaked furniture.
The camp site had been hammered by the heavy rain fall over the past week which made the hike in and out a muddy affair.
The guys behind me in the below picture (way behind me) were navigating a two-seater couch through the forest while I’m seen here carrying a severely broken camping chair and a bag of empty wine bottles. Not the expensive stuff. #worksmarternotharder
On a more serious note, there are many signed rest areas in Toohey Forest but these are not long term camping sites.
