Bicycles – Lock it-Register it-Report it
If you love your bike and want to prevent and reduce bicycle theft, come and visit the police on Saturday, June 9 at Bulimba.
Local police will be at Oxford Street, Bulimba, encouraging the local community to lock their bicycles, report the theft of bikes and register them with us either on the day or at any time with their local police station.
This is also a great opportunity for the community to ask questions and voice concerns whilst getting to know local police officers. Police ViP’s will also be assisting police with information/handouts on various topics.

Serious assault, Capalaba

Police have released CCTV of two people who may be able to assist with inquiries following the serious assault of a man at the Capalaba Bus Interchange on April 20.
At around 9.30pm the 28-year-old man was walking to the exchange on Redland Bay Road after finishing work nearby when he was approached by a young man and woman who became aggressive.
The man attempted to flee from the pair however was pursued until he tripped over.
The man then repeatedly assaulted him, breaking his jaw in the process.
The 28-year-old victim has since undergone reconstructive surgery for his injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise the male and female depicted in the CCTV to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
