Murder charge, Narangba

Detectives have commenced an investigation after the death of a woman at Narangba Tuesday (April 28).
Just after 4pm yesterday, police were called to a Hemlock Court residence and found a 45-year-old woman deceased in the house.
A crime scene was established a short time later.
Investigations led police to a nearby residence where a 50-year-old man known to the woman was arrested.
The man has since been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence offence).
He will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.

Attempted armed robbery, Cleveland

Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating an attempted armed robbery offence at Cleveland earlier this week.
At 8.25pm on April 27, a 21-year-old man was driving his vehicle in the vicinity of Passage and Queen Streets when he was overtaken by a black SUV, who applied their brakes causing him to come to a sudden stop.
Two men, aged in their 20s then exited the black SUV and approached him, holding what was believed to be a firearm.
The two men from the SUV made demands for the man’s car keys however he refused.
The two men proceeded to assault him, causing minor injuries before they left the scene empty-handed.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV or access to any dash cam footage between 8.10pm and 9pm in the Shore Street North, Passage Street, Middle Street and Cleveland CBD surrounds to please contact them.

Appeal for assistance regarding alleged assault, Sunnybank

On Thursday, April 9 at approximately 2.20pm, a man allegedly spat in the face of a checkout operator at a Sunnybank shopping centre.
Police further allege that the man then took off towards Mains Road.
Police believe that the man pictured below can assist them with their investigation.

Update 2: Shooting incident, Alexandra Hills

South Brisbane detectives have charged a second man over a shooting incident in Alexandra Hills on April 23.
A 29-year-old Acacia Ridge man appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and disqualified driving.
He was remanded in custody to re-appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 8.
The 27-yer-old man, previous charged, is due to re-appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 25.

Four teens in custody following armed robberies in Toowoomba and South Brisbane

Four teenagers are in custody following three opportunistic and brazen daylight robberies in Toowoomba and Wishart today.
A 62-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman had their green Toyota Camry allegedly stolen from their driveway this morning as they were commemorating ANZAC Day in Olivedale Court at Rangeville.
Police will allege four teenagers, armed with a baseball bat and knives, threatened the pair, forcing them back inside their home, where they stole mobile phones before fleeing the couple’s Toyota Camry.
This vehicle was then driven to Wishart where the four occupants spotted another vehicle in a driveway in Coora Street. It will be alleged three of the teens exited the stolen Camry, armed with a baseball bat and knives, and threatened a 27-year-old Highgate Hill woman before stealing her 2016 grey Subaru XV.

He is expected to front the Cleveland Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.

Shooting incident, Alexandra Hills

Detectives have declared a crime scene following the shooting of a man at Alexandra Hills this afternoon.
Around 5.15pm, police were called to an address in Cambridge Drive to reports a 24-year-old man had been shot.
The man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Two men were confronted by an off-duty police officer a short time later in Wellington point, where one man was detained, and a firearm was located.
The second man fled on foot and he was tracked by dog squad to a nearby property, where he was located hiding in a house.
Both men are assisting police.
Investigations are continuing.
Detectives are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who was in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.

Bushfire investigation, Capalaba

Capalaba Police are appealing for witnesses to provide information relating to a series of small fires set in the Coolnwynpin Nature Refuge, Capalaba from April 15 to April 17.
Serious damage to the surrounding bushland was averted due to the swift actions of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) who attended and extinguished the fires.

This behaviour has a potential for not only bushland destruction and injury to wildlife, but serious injury to persons especially during the current COVID-19 health crisis where higher than usual numbers of persons are using the areas to exercise.
Police are asking for community members to report suspicious activity to police immediately.

Break and enter, Greenslopes

Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into a break and enter offence in Greenslopes last Tuesday.
Just after 11am on April 14, the 40-year-old resident of the Newdegate Street home disturbed a man breaking into his garage, located underneath the house.
The 40-year-old chased the man down the street, filming him before the man threatened him with a knife at the intersection of Dunellan Street.
He continued to flee the scene, running along Dunellan Street and onto Thomas Street, where he reached his car and drove away.
The car is described as a black Toyota hatchback.
Anyone who recognises the man depicted in the footage is urged to contact police.

Update 2: Shot fired, Bald Hills

A second man has been charged following a shooting incident in Bald Hills last week.
Carseldine detectives initially charged a 21-year-old man with multiple offences after an occupant in a stolen Audi Q5 allegedly shot at another vehicle before it was stopped on Elizabeth Avenue in Clontarf.
A 20-year-old Bellmere man has also been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear before the Sandgate Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The 21-year-old Deception Bay man is expected to appear in June.
