Man charged – fuel drive offs, Brisbane
Detectives have charged a man in relation to a number of alleged fuel drive off’s committed in the Brisbane area in the past few weeks.
It will be alleged that on four separate occasions, the man has driven a ute to service stations in Rocklea, Deagon, Durack and Blacksoil and filled drums with fuel.
It is further alleged the man entered the service stations and claimed to have left his wallet in the vehicle before returning to the ute and driving off without paying.
Police located the 40-year-old Pioneers Rest man today in Maryborough where he was arrested and charged with five counts of stealing and one count of possessing property suspected of being stolen.
The man is due to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on May 15.
