A 42-year-old male Detective Sergeant from Brisbane Region has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties.
The officer is alleged to have used a restricted computer without authorisation and has been served with a Notice to Appear for an offence under section 408E, Computer hacking of the Criminal Code. The officer is to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 3 July 2017.
