Bird strike suspected in AirAsia X turnback to Brisbane
Kuala-Lumpur bound passengers on an AirAsia X flight from the Gold Coast say they saw sparks coming from an engine after a suspected bird strike led to their plane being grounded in Brisbane.
Armed robbery, Tingalpa
Detectives are investigating following the armed robbery of a hotel in Tingalpa this afternoon.
Around 12:30pm a man entered the gaming area of the business on Wynnum Road, armed with a firearm.
The man demanded money from a female staff member before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.
He last seen riding away from the area on a Triumph motorcycle.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as 170cm tall, of a medium build and was last seen wearing a motorcycle helmet.
