Linked offences, Logan and Brisbane South
Police are looking for two men involved in a number of serious offences in Logan and Brisbane’s south, including the assault and robbery of an elderly man at Woodridge yesterday.
Around 5.30pm two men were changing a tyre on a stolen vehicle in Woonga Street when a 77-year-old man approached them as he was taking out his rubbish.
They demanded he provide them with a tyre from his garage, which he refused.
The men then punched and kicked the elderly man before taking his house keys and attempting to enter his vehicle, however were unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot.
The 77-year-old man sustained minor facial wounds and bruising and was transported to Logan Community Hospital.
Logan police attended the scene and identified the vehicle involved as a red Holden Viva stolen from an address in Kuraby along with another car on July 18, and involved in a number of stealing offences since.
