All set for Queensland Road Safety Week in Mt Garnet
Mt Garnet Blue Light decided that Queensland Road Safety Week would be the perfect time to deliver a Bike Education Course to the students of Mt Garnet State School.
Everyone knows that the first thing you need to be safe on your bike is a good quality helmet, so to kick off the campaign on a positive note the Blue Light team decided that every kid at the school should have one.
With generous support from both Croydon and Browns Plains Blue Lights, as well as Big W at Atherton, Mt Garnet Blue Light was able to purchase 50 new bike helmets.
Mt Garnet Blue Light Coordinator Sergeant Shane Smith and Senior Constable Adam Wood attended Mt Garnet State School on Friday morning to present each student with their new helmet.
