Brisbane detectives are investigating after a man was allegedly set on fire, sustaining life threatening injuries at Capalaba this morning.
Preliminary information suggests a 65-year-old man was asleep in bed at a Teesdale Road residence around 9am when an accelerant was poured on him.
The man ran from the residence with the flames extinguished by members of the public and emergency services called.
The man is currently in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 34-year-old man, known to the 65-year-old man, is currently assisting police with their investigations.
A crime scene has been declared at the Teesdale Road residence.
