Serious traffic crash, Lytton

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious two truck crash near the Port of Brisbane at Lytton last night.
Around 9.20pm, police and other emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a semi-trailer and B-double on Port Drive.
One of the truck drivers, a 58-year-old man, sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The second driver was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Port Road near the Port of Brisbane Motorway off ramp was closed for a number of hours.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Attempted murder charge, Capalaba

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was allegedly set on fire at Capalaba earlier today, sustaining life threatening injuries.
Around 9am, it will be alleged the 34-year-old man poured an accelerant on a 65-year-old man, who was asleep in bed at a Teesdale Road residence.
The man ran from the residence with the flames extinguished by members of the public before emergency services arrived.
He remains in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 34-year-old Kooralbyn man has been charged with one count of attempted murder and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
