Armed robberies, Sunnybank
Police are investigating two armed robberies in Sunnybank last night that are believed to be linked.
Shortly before 7pm, a 16-year-old boy was walking on Dixon Street when he was grabbed from behind, knocked to the ground and a number of personal items stolen.
The victim was unable to describe the offenders who fled on foot.
A short time later, a 28-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were sitting in Yimbum Park off McCullough Street when they were approached by four males and two females.
One of the male offenders produced a knife and threatened the pair, demanding their wallets and mobile phones before fleeing with the items.
No one was injured during this incident.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to these incidents to contact them.

Attempted armed robbery, South Brisbane
Three girls are in custody after they allegedly attempted to rob two others at the Cultural Centre in South Brisbane this morning.
Around 9.35am, three girls approached a 13-year-old girl and a 17-year-old woman – both from Moorooka – in the grassed common area above the Queensland State Art Gallery and allegedly threatened to hurt them if they didn’t hand over their money.
The victims said they had no money on them, and one took out their phone to call police.
It was then that one of the girls allegedly produced a box cutter with the blade extended before all three ran off.
They were located about an hour later on Cordelia Street.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
The girls, two aged 14 and the other 11, are assisting police with their enquiries.
