Trailered vehicle security alert

There has been a recent increase in the theft of trailered vehicles in homes and storage yards in South Brisbane with areas around Moorooka the most affected. Vehicles targeted by offenders are mostly box trailers. The Officer in Charge of Moorooka Station encourages all trailer owners to review trailer security immediately. Effective security measures are the best criminal deterrent and can include;

Install a wheel locking device
Install a locking device over the ball connection of the trailer
Secure the trailer behind locked gates (where possible)

If you have an information in relation to the theft of trailers please contact your local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

Thank you Wishart

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting around 30 local residents of the Wishart area at our meet and greet in the park.
I was assisted by the Mount Gravatt Patrol Group Inspector Pete Flori, two of our Volunteers in Policing and crews from the Upper Mount Gravatt Station.
We were able to provide them with information about home security, vehicle safety and personal safety. We were also able to  assist with inquiries about local issues including parking, speed limits and the use of park lands for illegal activities.
After a successful morning we are planning further meet and greets across the Upper Mount Gravatt police division.  Times and places will be advised via this blog.
