Appeal for witnesses- Traffic crash, Woolloongabba

Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to a serious traffic crash at Woolloongabba this afternoon (October 5).
Initial inquiries indicate around 4.45pm, a white Toyota Corolla heading west on Stanley street has collided with a male pedestrian outside the Woolloongabba Bus Station.
The man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
A 36-year-old Melton South woman is charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 6.
Police are appealing to any members of the public who witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam footage, to contact police.

Serious assault, Moorooka

Upper Mount Gravatt detectives are investigating an assault that occurred at Moorooka this afternoon (October 5).
At about 5.30pm, a man attended an address in Gladstone street and spoke with the female occupant of the residence.
A short time later, an altercation occurred between the man and the woman during which the woman received two cuts to her arm from a machete.
The man subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle.
The woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
