A 32-year-old Constable from Road Policing Command has been dismissed from the Queensland Police Service following the finalisation of an internal investigation.
The officer was convicted in the Roma District Court on November 24, 2016 on one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
The court sentenced the officer to two years imprisonment, wholly suspended.

Robbery, Annerley
Police are investigating a robbery incident that occurred at Annerley early this morning (October 9).
Initial investigations indicate at about 1.15am on Cracknell Road, a man has approached a parked vehicle and removed a backpack containing cash through the vehicle’s partially open window.
The male driver of the vehicle confronted the man, who fled the scene on a bicycle with the cash.
The driver of the vehicle located the man in Villa Street where a physical altercation commenced as he attempted to retrieve the money.
The man again fled the scene on the bicycle with the cash.
The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries only.
Investigations are continuing.

Wounding, West End
Police are investigating a wounding incident that occurred at West End this evening.
At about 8pm at a licensed venue on Russell Street, a man became involved in an argument with three other men.
During the altercation, the man was struck in the face with a glass causing an injury to the man’s eye.
The three men fled the scene after the incident.
The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Investigations are continuing.
