In recent weeks a number of homes in the Moorooka, Salisbury and Tarragindi areas have been entered into and had property stolen. Offenders have entered homes mostly through closed but unlocked doors and windows during the day and night.
Thieves appear to be targeting vehicles, stealing car keys left in obvious places in the home.
To reduce the chances of becoming a victim of burglary and vehicle theft:
DO NOT leave car keys or valuables in obvious places in view
DO NOT leave garage remotes or house keys inside vehicle
If you leave your vehicle at home place keys in discreet location
Lock your windows, doors and garage
Lock internal doors from the garage into the house
Install key locks or security grills on windows & deadlocks on doors
Install finger guards on security doors that are not always key-locked
Do not leave keys in locks on windows and doors
