Police have charged a man following investigations into the alleged kidnapping of a woman at Darra on Monday.
It is alleged that around 5pm on Monday, a 22-year-old woman was taken from an address and held against her will, assaulted and threatened with further violence.
It will further be alleged the woman was driven to a number of nearby locations and assaulted before being released yesterday.
The woman located police and was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A 50-year-old San Remo (NSW) man was arrested in Grafton late yesterday by New South Wales Police and extradited to Queensland today.
He has been charged a number of serious offences including one count each of deprivation of liberty, kidnapping, common assault, enter premises to commit indictable offence, attempted robbery threatening violence and enter dwelling with intent.
The man is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (August 10).
