Recently, officers from the Upper Mount Gravatt Police Station had the pleasure of being invited to host a special stall at the Griffith University ‘International Student Welcome Market Day’ in the iconic Campus Heart, Nathan.
We had lots of visitors to the QPS stall
Hundreds of students, staff and visitors had the chance to speak to their local police and receive timely information on a range of topics including cyber safety, road safety, personal safety and ways to contact police.
Students from as far China, Japan, South Korea, India, , Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, Malaysia and Switzerland flocked to take photos with their local officers.
Officers and PLOs were happy to speak to students
“It’s incredibly important for students to be aware of their rights and responsibilities whilst studying here in Australia,” Senior Police Liaison Officer Huang said.
“We want them to be safe, comfortable and enjoy everything this great State has to offer.”
