South Brisbane joins the launch of Operation Wake Up Summer: Phase 3

Thank you for everyone who joined us for the launch of Operation Wake Up Summer: Phase 3 across the South Brisbane District.
Throughout this operation, we are reminding the community to be safe and alert when driving, walking, and travelling on public transport.
The aim is to make the community feel safer when out and about by educating them on remaining alert and aware both when walking and driving.
Police from the South Brisbane Division have been out and about to launch Operation Wake Up Summer, Phase 3
Police from crime prevention, Police Liaison Officers (PLOs) and Volunteers in Policing (ViPs) hosted a variety of events across Centenary, Riverside, Mount Gravatt and Bayside Patrol groups to launch the operation.
As part of this operation, we have focused our attention on educating the community about road safety in and around education facilities while providing personal safety advice for students and parents.
