National Day of Action for Road Safety kicked off at Kangaroo Point

Today is National Day Action for Road Safety. It is a day where we focus on providing a safe environment for all road users at all times but especially over the school holiday and back to school periods when it is a busy time on the state’s road network.
Police partnered up with Hit105 this morning and kicked off the National Day of Action at Kangaroo Point Cliffs.
“Police will be coordinating a range of increased high visibility activities today for the National Day of Action focusing on the Fatal Five factors – speed, drink/drug driving, seat belts, fatigue and distraction,” Acting Inspector Wayne Clayton said.

It was great to see many of the early morning community engaging with police on this special occasion and the support provided by the various police units and Hit 105 Black Thunder team.
