Upper Mount Gravatt Police take part in suds and snags for PCYC

Snags and suds were a plenty on Saturday, November 30, when the Upper Mount Gravatt PCYC held a car wash and sausage sizzle to raise valuable funds.
PCYC aims to build safer, healthier communities through youth development. Whilst the PCYC on Klump Road, Mount Gravatt focuses on young people’s personal and leadership development, it offers a variety of programs and activities for all ages and levels of skill. The club offers everything from boxing classes through to driving lessons.
In a time when youth engagement and direction is critical, PCYC’s run with almost 90 per cent of their funding coming from donations and fund raising.
The fundraising is vital to sustain key programs which assist young people form networks and links within the community, all of which is aimed at giving them something to do and keeping out of trouble.
