Bicycles are an increasingly favoured method of transport in South Brisbane with our abundance of bike paths, parks and great local destinations to ride to. Cycling makes everything all so close to where we live. Unfortunately, for those who reside in a unit complex, where you store your bike might not be as close.
Some might be fortunate to keep their bikes securely within their unit, but generally the only option for storage is in the car park beneath the building in which you reside. Thieves know this too and will take the opportunity to target your bikes.
Here’s some tips that others have found successful in protecting their bikes:
Never leave your bike unattended and unlocked – be sure to use a good quality lock. A good quality U-lock is much harder to break or cut than cheaper chains or cables.
