Santa duties for Upper Mount Gravatt Police

On Saturday, Upper Mount Gravatt Police had the very special privilege of receiving a visit from Santa himself.
He was due to make an appearance at the annual Rotary Club Christmas Fair at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, however due to last minute flight restrictions coming out of Brisbane’s Air Traffic control zone, was forced to land his sleigh on the roof of Upper Mount Gravatt Police Station.

As a career highlight, I got to drive the jolly fat man himself to the showgrounds in a police car to where he made his special appearance with flashing Christmas lights ‘police style’.
Once there, the man of the hour spoke to the children before giving out lollipops.

The Christmas Fair is an annual festival held by the Rotary Club of Mt Gravatt involving free events for the kids including jumping castles, rock climbing walls, Christmas Stalls and a Christmas themed movie in the park.
