Cop’s and Robbers run together in the name of fun

On Saturday, the annual Cop’s and Robbers Parkrun was held at Mansfield. It’s an event I love organising.
This year the event was linked with charity ‘Blue Hope’ an organisation assisting officers, both past and present and their immediate families with preventing and treating PTSD.
The Blue Hope mobile kitchen was present to serve up Breakfast burgers and free coffee, courtesy of state member for Mansfield, Corrine McMillan to the large crowd of spectators and the 605 deserving participants who ran or walked their way through beautiful parkland.
The police pipes and drums band played some inspirational running tunes to get us under way.
Children and adults alike checked out our vehicles, had photo’s on bikes, learnt lessons in crime scene investigation and jumped on the giant jumping castle supplied by local councillor Ryan Murphy.

There were some great costumes seen running from police, Ned Kelly took out the top prize for best costume. The
