Police share crime prevention messages at grand opening

Officers from across the South Brisbane District were on hand for the grand opening of McDonalds Rochedale last week, where they shared the message of crime prevention to hundreds of locals and guests throughout the morning.

‘Seymour’ the Neighbourhood Watch Owl (a.k.a. Police Liaison Officer Jeong Hoon Bae) was also on hand to promote the organisation’s philosophy to encourage individuals, families, businesses and communities to work together to reduce crime and improve community safety.
Seymour also enjoyed taking plenty of selfie’s with one and all visiting the iconic establishment.

Sergeant Jim Bellos said local officers have always enjoyed a great relationship with the community, including local businesses.
“Our team always get involved with McHappy Day and we are honoured to help raise funds towards Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia’s  essential programs including Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program and Ronald McDonald Family Retreats,” Sergeant Bellos said.
Many thanks to everyone who came out
