The Emergency Services Blood Challenge is coming to a close at the end of this month and is an annual challenge amongst the three arms of the emergency services to see who can donate the most blood.
On Tuesday afternoon, I took some of Upper Mount Gravatt Station’s bravest into donate blood at the Red Cross blood mobile currently situated at Mount Gravatt Plaza.
Officers from General Duties, Scenes of Crime, Road Policing Unit and our Cultural Liaison Officers all attended and rolled up their sleeves.
To top the day off, I received my Chocolate Milk and Freddo frog at the end of my donation which made it all worth it, however ultimately, this is for a great cause and the community will benefit from a bit of healthy competition.
