Is your child’s car seat fitted correctly? Let the experts check

As part of Queensland Road Safety Week initiatives, South Brisbane Police in partnership with Westfield Garden City, Department of Transport and Main Roads and Kidsafe are providing the opportunity to have a free inspection/fitting of your child restraint by Kidsafe staff on Wednesday August 28.
Wearing a properly adjusted restraint reduces the risk of fatal or serious injury by half.
In 2018, 30 people were killed and 187 were seriously injured on Queensland roads as a result of not wearing a seatbelt or an appropriate restraint, where restraint use was known.
Ensuring children are properly restrained in the car is one of the most important things you can do for their safety and well-being.
Buckling-up is one part of the equation, but knowing which type of child restraint is appropriate and how to use it properly, is equally important.
You are invited to have your child restraint checked and have any issues fixed for you
