Inala police participate in ‘mock crash’ road safety scenario

Emergency Service representatives take part in ‘mock crash’ road safety scenario
Today, police from Inala Station, paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service and RACQ representatives attended the Forest Lake State High School to present an emotion-charged scenario to school students.
The scenario aimed to teach students about the possible outcomes of poor choices and how important road safety is.
Senior Constable Gavin King said it was important students learn about road safety as they prepare to finish school and begin taking to the roads themselves.
“Students were given the opportunity to participate in a ‘mock crash’ road safety scenario,” Senior Constable King said.
“Students then explored and were equipped with real world strategies for combating the ‘Fatal Five’ road safety issues.”

The Fatal Five are speeding, drink/drug driving, fatigue, seat belt use and driver distraction/inattention.
