Officers welcome students at University of Queensland

On Wednesday July 17, officers from the Upper Mount Gravatt Police Station had the pleasure of being invited to host a special information booth at the University of Queensland’s (UQ) Student Services International Arrival Lounge.
The event took place at the St. Lucia Campus with hundreds of International students liaising with their local police and and receiving timely information on a range of topics including cyber safety, road safety, personal safety and ways to contact police.

Students from as far China, South Korea, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Canada, United States and Mexico flocked to take photos with their new local officers.
Senior Police Liaison Officer Li-Shan Huang said police are here to educate students arriving into the country  with practical advice on how to stay safe and enjoy everything that is on offer across our great State.
