On-going investigation – Sunnybank and Macgregor incident

A 56-year-old  Sunnybank man remains under police guard in a Brisbane hospital following two incidents on Brisbane’s southside on Sunday morning, June 23.
It will be alleged at around 9am a 40-year-old woman was clipped by a car as it entered a service station at the intersection of Mains Road and Turton Street at Sunnybank.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle then entered the office/shop area where he threatened staff before stealing a small quantity of tobacco products.
The man then allegedly poured petrol from a bowser onto the ground, lighting it before speeding off.
Staff extinguished the small fire and police were called.
The female pedestrian was transported to hospital for assessment.
Around 9.15am the same vehicle was travelling along Mains Road at MacGregor when it allegedly slammed into the rear of a car stationary at a set of lights.
The man exited his vehicle and confronted the two occupants of the car,
