Police have arrested four people today, following the culmination of a four-month operation targeting property crime in the South Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast Districts.
The joint operation involved detectives from South Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast District CIBs, as well as Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU), and commenced in February following an increase of break-and-enters around Eight Mile Plains, Sunnybank, Calamvale and Kuraby.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives executed six simultaneous search warrants at Crestmead, Kingston, Park Ridge, Browns Plains, Hollywell and Southport around 7am this morning.
A 50-year-old Crestmead man, a 27-year-old Park Ridge man, a 24-year-old Browns Plains man and a 38-year-old Hollywell man have been arrested.
It’s alleged the men are part of an organised criminal syndicate which orchestrated night-time break and enters across the South Brisbane District, primarily targeting cash and jewellery.
