Recently, the South Brisbane Police District welcomed its newest Police Liaison Officer (PLO) – PLO Jeong Hoon Bae.
PLO Jeong will be working alongside the current diverse team of Police Liaison Officers, to represent the growing Korean community in South Brisbane. South Brisbane is one of the most multicultural regions in Queensland.
As a new Police Liaison Officer, Jeong will be responsible for developing trust and understanding between the QPS and the community, liaising with community leaders, business and the public, and assisting the QPS to provide timely advice on customs, traditions and protocols within the community.
Jeong looks forward to his new role.
Born in Busan, South Korea, Jeong immigrated to Australia with his family in 2006.
After completing his secondary schooling at Macgregor State School, Jeong attended the South Bank TAFE where he completed a Diploma of Justice before transitioning to the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he was elected as President
