On Friday, March 29, Annerley police in partnership with Queensland Rail, Crime Stoppers, Crime Prevention and Rail Squad officers visited the Fairfield Rail Station to speak with members of the community in relation to personal safety when out and about.
Many of the morning commuters were keen to stop and talk to officers about their safety.
Officers reminded all to be aware of their surroundings when they are out, and to stick to populated areas that are well-lit.
They were also encouraged to report any safety issues to police by using Triple Zero (000) in the event of an emergency, or by calling Policelink the non-urgent reporting line on 131 444.
