Unfortunately with the start of 2019, Carina police have already had reports of cars being stolen within the division.
Officers from the Carina Police Station and neighbouring police divisions are tasked daily to patrol these locations in an attempt to prevent and deter these offences from occurring.
Police are currently investigating the theft of three vehicles in conjunction with a break in at properties in Lunga Street, Carina, Prout Street, Camp Hill and Coolcorra Court, Carindale.
These break ins have resulted in the theft of a Jaguar motor vehicle from one residence and two Mercedes from a second address.
Thieves have also stolen a set of numbers plates from a fourth vehicle.
Police would like to remind all residents to follow the below advice regarding their security of their private vehicles.
Always lock your vehicle, including the boot and sun roof and remember to fully close your windows.
