Well-equipped for policing South Bank

Meet the South Bank team!
As a tourism hub with an estimated 14 million visitors a year, South Bank is a unique area to police.
The South Bank area includes the Parklands, QPAC, State Library, QAGOMA, South Bank Tafe and University, Conservatorium of Music and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It hosts regular visits by heads of state or government, religious leaders and celebrities and holds major events like RiverFire and celebrations for News Year Eve and Australia Day.
There are also regular events celebrating diverse cultures and backgrounds.
To police an area like this, South Bank has resources to assist with high visibility proactive patrols and community engagement.
South Bank have a four officer team Bike Squad that conducts cycle patrols in the parklands and surrounding areas.
We also have two Segways, and we have utilised Segways since 2016.
Our All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) is used to conduct patrols.
Like the Segways, the ATV is a great community policing tool
