Officers from the Carina Police Station have recently closed a stolen property investigation involving the large scale theft of property from the charity located at Gallipoli Road, Carina Heights.
The premises located at Carina Heights is a community location for members of the general public to drop off unwanted goods as a charitable donation which are then sold on site with all proceeds going towards the charity and it’s works.
Unfortunately the location has seen a large amount of property theft from this location and have been working in partnership with the Carina Police Station to reduce the re-occurrence of this type of offending from continuing.
This partnership has led to improved security upgrades on site with improved CCTV cameras, lighting and gates.
There has also been an improvement in the timely reporting of these thefts which has ultimately resulted in a large scale enforcement operation taking place over the last couple of months.
