At around 2.15pm on Sunday August 27, a highly agitated man was seen to be entering yards in and around Piers Street, Moorooka.
He was observed shaking gates and jumping over numerous fences into adjoining yards and even climbing onto roofs of sheds.
Members of the public were witness to these events and subsequently contacted police.
Police crews were soon on the scene, and after a struggle, the man was placed in custody.
The 38-year-old Bridgeman Downs man was treated at the scene and subsequently conveyed to hospital for further treatment.
Investigations are continuing and police thank the community for keeping an eye on their streets and contacting police.
