Upper Mount Gravatt Police out on patrol this morning stopped to help some nomads in need after the tyre blew out on their campervan along the Gateway motorway.
Figuring it would be quicker, and safer, to change the tyre ourselves, we offered assistance to Ruth and Max.
They happily accepted, and were back on the road in no time to continue on their holiday.
This serves as a reminder for motorists to regularly check the inflation and quality of their tyres, particularly before going on holidays and long drives.
Under-inflation and over-inflation can both cause blowouts, so it is important to be sure your tyres have the right air pressure.
