Capalaba police have charged a man following a serious assault at the Capalaba Bus Interchange on April 20.
It will be alleged around 9.30pm a 28-year-old man was walking to the interchange on Redland Bay Road when he was approached by a young man and woman who became aggressive.
The man attempted to flee from the pair however was allegedly pursued until he tripped over.
The 28-year-old man was then allegedly assaulted, receiving a broken jaw as a result.
The man has since undergone reconstructive surgery for his injuries.
Following a public appeal on June 6 police from Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad took a man into custody at a Capalaba address this afternoon.
A 31-year-old Capalaba man has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and possessing utensils or pipes.
