Volunteer in Policing Rosemary Nicol, recognised at Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Awards

On Thursday, May 24 the Queensland Police Service (QPS) held the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Awards in Brisbane.
Rosemary, who is a Volunteer in Policing (ViP) won the Community Service Award.
This award acknowledges community members proactive service to enhance the safety of individuals or groups affected by domestic and family violence.
Rosemary has worked in the South Brisbane District Domestic and Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit (SBD DFV&VPU) since the units inception 3 years ago.
Rosemary dedicates her time 2 days a week and through her tireless efforts, successfully engages an average of 60 couples per month who are experiencing domestic and family violence.
Rosemary offers initial phone support and refers victims to vulnerable persons support services.
Rosemary is a valuable team member with SBD DFV&VPU and it is extremely fitting that she is the recipient of this award.
